The Executive Committee (EC)

2nd Wednesday of each month
10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Executive Committee comprises the Co-Chair(s) of the Planning Council and the Chairs of the Planning Council Committees. The Executive Committee reviews and discusses the activities of each of the standing committees and coordinates the activities and the agenda of the Planning Council. The Executive Committee meets on the second Wednesday of each month from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.

The Policy and Education Review Committee (PERC)

1st Thursday of each month
1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Policy and Education Review Committee (PERC) functions as an educational and advocacy body to effect positive change, channel resources and appropriate services to the HIV/AIDS pandemic and provide quality services to impacted individuals. The PERC committee meets on the first Thursday of each month from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

The Membership and Community Involvement Committee (MCIC)

2nd Tuesday of each month
1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Membership and Community Involvement Committee (MCIC) recruits, interviews, and makes recommendations for individuals to be appointed to the Planning Council. The Membership Committee also provides new member orientations to ensure individuals appointed to the Planning Council are adequately trained to actively participate in Planning Council activities. The MCIC meets the second Tuesday of each month from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Quality Data & Services Planning Committee (QDASC)

3rd Monday of each month
1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Quality Data & Services Planning Committee (QDASC) is responsible for the oversight of all CCPC data collection processes and for the coordination of all CCPC needs assessments and gap analysis inclusive of resource data.  The committee also assists with the service and target population priority setting and is responsible for the CCPC epidemiological planning process.  The Committee oversees development of the Comprehensive Plan and coordinates the priority setting and allocation process.  The QDASC Committee works with the Office of AIDS to develop the Standards of Care and Services Category Definitions. The QDASC committee meets on the third Monday of each month from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

The People Living with HIV/AIDS Committee (PLWH/A)

3rd Tuesday of each month
2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The People Living with HIV/AIDS Committee (PLWH/A) is open to all HIV-infected individuals of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties and seeks to ensure that the best interests of People Living with HIV/AIDS are met in the Oakland TGA, to review concerns and complaints regarding the provision of HIV/AIDS services by agencies receiving Part A funds in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, and to promote participation of PLWH/A’s in the monitoring of provider contracts in collaboration with the Grantee. The PLWHA Committee meets the third Tuesday of each month from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The Prevention Committee

2nd Thursday of each month
1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The HIV Prevention Committee supports broad-based community participation in HIV prevention planning, identifies priority HIV prevention needs (a set of priority target populations and interventions for each identified target population) in Alameda County, and ensures that HIV prevention resources target priority populations and interventions set forth in the comprehensive HIV prevention plan. The Prevention Committee meets the second Thursday of each month from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
